The Tennessee Principals Association (TPA) seeks a visionary, energetic, and engaged Executive Director. This position is considered as “part-time” and will officially begin, July 1, 2022.

The Tennessee Principals Association is the premier education association for Tennessee Principals.  The mission of the Tennessee Principals Association is to support, empower, and connect Tennessee Principals.

Qualifications include:

  • Visionary Leader with a track record of proven success
  • Relationship Builder with a commitment for enhancing positive relationships with school administrators, school districts, the State Department of Education, and the State Legislature
  • Strong financial acumen and ability to build and manage budgets
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Must have a positive attitude, be mission-driven and self-directed
  • Technologically savvy with an eye for innovation
  • Excellence in organizational management
  • Ability to work effectively in collaboration with diverse groups of people and stakeholders
  • Passionate about supporting and empowering principals

The Executive Director shall: (a)supervise and coordinate the administrative, editorial, publicity, financial and professional activities of the association, (b) advise and assist the Officers, Board of Directors and committees in carrying out the program of the association, (c) carry out those duties assigned by the Constitution, By-laws and Policies of the TPA Board of Directors.
